Invisible Children

"In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims.

After returning to the States, they created the documentary "Invisible Children: Rough Cut," a film that exposes the tragic realities of northern Uganda's night commuters and child soldiers.
The film was originally shown to friends and family, but has now been seen by millions of people. The overwhelming response has been, "How can I help?" To answer this question, the non-profit Invisible Children, Inc. was created, giving compassionate individuals an effective way to respond to the situation."

Favorite Fairy Friend

"Brittany and I have a really strange friendship. We always end up eating horrendously, complaining about how we eat horrendously, and laughing uncontrollably and inexplicably. Once we were watching a strange TV show about fairies (inexplicably) and felt so inspired by the bizarreness of it that we grabbed my J.Crew catalog and a Sharpie (inexplicably), gave all of the models wings and feather headdresses and turned the entire catalog into a fully-narrated piece of fairy/Native American literature. I have no idea how the Native Americans came into the equation, but I do know that I got the best ab workout of my life from all of our crazy laughter." Caroline Evan Saunders

My favorite fairy friend has a blog in which she refers to herself as Princess Truffle Fluff. Princess Truffle Fluff would probably not appreciate her blog being exposed to the world. Patience

Lately I've surprised myself with how much more patient I've become. I mean, there's always room for improvement, but I've come a long way. I guess mi madre was right... good things do come to those who wait. I'm enjoying watching life unfold, and I'm definitely not trying to rush or push anything. I'm likin' it!
